Relaunching of the Wellness, Technology & Innovation, and Facilities Steering Forum Committees at Hyde Park

Dear Hyde Park Community,

We are thrilled to announce the relaunching of the Wellness, Technology and Innovation, and Facilities Steering Forum Committees at Hyde Park! We aim to partner with you, our valued school community members, to gather input and insights to inform decisions affecting our schools and, most importantly, our students.

These committees serve as crucial avenues for collaboration and dialogue, allowing us to work together to shape the future of our educational environment. By engaging in meaningful discussions and leveraging the diverse perspectives within our community, we can create positive change and make Hyde Park a destination district.

Below, you will find the purpose, facilitator, and meeting schedule for each committee:

  • Wellness Steering Forum Committee
  • Purpose: To promote the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of our students, staff, and community members with stakeholder input.
  • Co-Facilitators: Beth Fletcher,  Director of Health, PE & Athletics, Shelby Outwater, Director of HR (shelbyoutwater@hpcsd.org), Malissa Reeder, Director of Guidance (malissareeder@hpcsd.org), and Craig Elliott, Director of Nutrition   Services - (craigelliott@hpcsd.org)
  • Meeting Dates and Times: 2nd Tuesday of each month at 4:00-5:00 pm; District Office w/Virtual Option - *First Meeting is April 9, 2024
  • Technology and Innovation Committee
  • Purpose: To develop and monitor a comprehensive Technology Plan that addresses 21st-century learning and explore and implement innovative technologies that enhance teaching, learning, and administrative processes with stakeholder input.
  • Facilitator: Rick Wert, Director of Technology - (rwert@hpcsd.org)
  • Meeting Dates and Times: 1st Tuesday of each month at 4:00 - 5:00 pm; District Office w/Virtual Option - *First Meeting is April 2, 2024
  • Facilities Steering Forum Committee
  • Purpose: To develop and monitor the Capital Improvement Plan, building repairs, improvement planning, and aspects of future capital projects with stakeholder input. 
  • Facilitator: Jordan Strack, Director of Facilities - (jordanstrack@hpcsd.org)
  • Meeting Dates and Times: 1st Thursday of each month at 4:00 - 5:30 pm; District Office with Virtual Option - *First Meeting is April 4, 2024

We invite all Hyde Park Community members passionate about contributing to the betterment of our schools to join us in these important discussions. Your input and perspectives are invaluable as we work together to shape the future of education and the work environment in Hyde Park.
