FDR Welcomes New Assistant Principal, Mrs. Moy

Sara Moy, FDR Assistant Principal

Mrs. Moy is the new Assistant Principal at F.D. Roosevelt High School and will primarily be working with students in grades 10 & 12. Mrs. Moy spent the last 11 years of her career as an English teacher before joining the team in the Hyde Park Central School District. She also spent many years as the head coach for the girls varsity soccer team in her last school district and served as an advisor to a variety of extra-curricular activities.

Mrs. Moy is an avid reader who enjoys traveling in her free time, especially to the beach! She is a member of the Executive Board for the New York State English Council as well as a member of the NYSED ELA Content Advisory Panel.

Mrs. Moy holds a Bachelor’s Degree from SUNY Oneonta in Adolescence Education and English, and a Master’s Degree from SUNY New Paltz in Literacy Education. She also completed a program in Educational Leadership at Stony Brook University.  

Mrs. Moy is looking forward to meeting students and staff when everyone can return safely to F. D. Roosevelt High School. She is particularly interested in helping to support students and staff in this vastly changing educational climate.
