    Dear Kindergarten Parents,

Welcome to kindergarten!  I am very excited to be your child’s teacher this year at Violet Avenue Elementary School.  I look forward to working with you and your child this school year!

To help your child get ready for kindergarten, here is a list of supplies he/she will need.   Please write your child’s name on all school supplies.  Please make sure to write your child’s name on their backpack, lunch box, snack bag and folder, as these will go home every day.

Please send your child with one classroom snack and a drink every day.  Make sure the snack and drink are in a snack bag or Ziploc bag and label it with their name and “snack” on it.  Please do not put your child’s classroom snack in their lunch bag!  I don’t want your child to eat their classroom snack for lunch!  Also, do not put your child’s classroom snack and drink in their backpack without a bag.  I have seen many library books get ruined by a broken juice box!  Plastic supply boxes make great snack boxes!

Thank you for providing these materials for your child.   I look forward to seeing you soon!  Enjoy the rest of your summer!
