Teacher Information - General Course Information

  • Welcome to my classroom website!

This website is intended to provide students and parents with the necessary information to make this a successful academic year in US history!

Hello! I have been working at FDR high school for the past 8 years as a teacher of US History, Global History, Economics and Participation in Government.  For most of my years at FDR, I have been teaching US History (Grade 11) and Global History & Geography (Grade 9).  In this academic year, I am teaching 1 US History Regents class in addition to 4 US History Co-Taught Regents classes.   I am the Regular Education teacher in the Co-Taught classes, however, my co-teacher and I consider ourselves BOTH content specialists and special education teachers. In total, I have taught for 11 years at schools in Westchester, Putnam & Dutchess counties.

I have a love of military history and enjoy when I can engage students in discussions of military strategy as it applies to varies wars throughout world history.

It is a joy to have a job teaching in Hyde Park, as the period of WW2 has always intrigued me and it is a joy to spend time at FDR's home in the spring and summer!

Favorite historical figure: Winston Churchill !

Favorite Presidents=John Adams, James. K. Polk, Theodore Roosevelt, Dwight D. Eisenhower & Ronald Reagan!
