FAMILY ID - FALL 2020 - UPDATE 9-10-20
September 10, 2020
Dear Hyde Park Athletic Community,
I hope this letter finds you doing well and our students are off to a great start to their school year. I do miss seeing our student athletes practicing and competing and we are hopeful to get athletics back on track this year.
Today, the Section 9 athletic council voted to have all fall sports begin in March with start dates to be determined. 2021 Spring sports will begin in May with start dates to be determined. Winter sports will begin on November 30th. Off-season workouts can begin prior to the start of these seasons but the district has not decided the dates for off-season workouts to begin.
We appreciate your patience to ensure that we are providing a safe return to athletics this year. For up to the minute updates please refer to the athletics website or follow us on twitter @athleticshpcsd.

The Hyde Park Central School District supports over a number of teams at F.D. Roosevelt High School, involving several hundred students each school year in interscholastic competition. Through the involvement of trained coaches, dedicated athletes, a supportive Board of Education, and a host of dynamic parent booster clubs, the students of Hyde Park have greatly benefited from the spirit and lessons of athletic competition.
To be eligible to participate in school sports, students must be examined and approved by a school or private physician, return a signed parent permission slip, and abide by the policies and rules set forth by the athletic department. Academic eligibility requirements must be maintained.
