We have a new work order system!

MasterLibrary

The Facilities and Operations Department is transitioning to a new work order management program called Master Library.  All staff will be able to enter work requests.  In order to enter a new work order please follow the simple instructions below.  

You should start using ML Work Orders now.  Please do not use School Dude any longer.  

If you created work orders in the old system, they have been migrated over to Master Library, so there is no need to enter new requests for those.  

MASTER LIBRARY   Instructions

1.  Click on your Google Apps button. Scroll down until you see a Green ML Icon for Master Library.  Click on that app and it should open the Master Library software.  Proceed to step #2.    (Here is the direct link if you want to bookmark it!)


2. Select the New Request button to create a new work order.

3. Enter the requested information on the work order screen.

Note: Any required field will have a red asterisk to the right. You will not be able to proceed unless this field is filled out.  In addition to this, any custom fields will automatically be displayed at the bottom of the Work Order form (these fields can also be required) 

4. Select the Submit Work Order button.

Note: If you're a user with the permission to "Bypass Approval" there will be a checkbox before submitting a request. If you uncheck "Require Approval on this Work Order" and click submit, it will automatically be approved.

5. The work order will now go through the approval process. You will be notified via email of any status changes to the work order.

 

Overview

The Facilities & Operations Department services the faculty, staff, students, and community of Hyde Park Schools daily by managing the maintenance of over 626,000 square feet in nine buildings and approximately 160 acres of property. 

This maintenance includes the physical plants, grounds, contracted service providers, energy management, daily event planning, building use, custodial services, completing general work orders, safety and security, and overseeing construction management for capital work and projects.
