At Pine Plains 10/02

FDR: 3 Pine Plains: 0
Goals: Matt Koziol (2), Kareem Cerdas
Assists: Greg Baluzy, Habib Kamara, Matt Koziol
Saves: Darling - 2
Coaches Notes: I'm happy we won but was not happy with how our offense played. Actually, I was a bit surprised at the lack of spirit the entire team showed all game. We played a similar game earlier in the season and were lucky to take a 1-0 win over Saugerties after dominating the time of possession and shots on goal. We played a similar game against Rondout and lost 3-2. Today was the same type of play. Do I have to rearrange our entire lineup? I know we had 3 key players sitting for this one but we have to start doing a better job trying to create goal scoring opportunities. We have to play the ball to our forwards earlier, we have to take fewer touches, forwards need to start creating goal scoring opportunities and we need to start attacking with a purpose.
The second half of the second half was beautiful. Guys up front started having fun trying to create and play quick for goal scoring opportunities. Koz came up big with a goal and an assist during that time and Reem put his name in the hat for forward with his goal. The defense and midfield did a great job maintaining possession and controlling the game. Nice job bouncing back from the Red Hook game. Something still doesn't seem right with you guys. We'll have to work it out in practice.
