Mock DWI
-
F.D. Roosevelt hosts an annual Mock DWI event to vividly illustrate the dangers and consequences associated with driving while intoxicated. In recent years, the focus of the event has broadened to include distracted driving, texting while driving, fatigued driving, etc. Through a partnership with local police, fire departments, EMS, community agencies, and businesses, FDR seniors become engaged in a comprehensive interactive educational program emphasizing positive choices as they approach the prom and graduation.
Our partners have included:
- Hyde Park Police Department
- Roosevelt Fire District
- West Clinton Fire District
- Dutchess County 911
- LifeNet NY Helicopter
- NDP EMS
- Matt's Used Auto Parts
- Sweet's Funeral Home
- Vassar Brothers Medical Center
