Teachers themselves generate some wonderful resources that should be shared with colleagues. This section of our website highlights teacher-made resources, provides additional access to resources outside the district, and provides useful information on instructional activities across the district. Teachers are encouraged to share or recommend resources to be added to this page.
Teachers in Hyde Park have been working on creating lessons that meet the needs of all students in their classrooms. The concept of differentiated instruction relies heavily on knowing who our students are and what their next learning goals should be. Teachers accomplish this through pre-assessments and planning learning activities that address a variety of student abilities, experiences, interests and learning styles. The samples to the left of this page were developed by teachers who participated in a 30-hour training in differentiated instruction.
Each year the board is presented with a comprehensive summary of the district's achievement data. This report, which you can access by clicking on the link to the left of this page, includes information on English Language Arts, math, science, and social studies in grades three through eight as well as Regents data. If you have any questions about the data in this report, please contact Aviva Kafka, Deputy Superintendent.
