Please see the following potential corrections the students can make to resolve their log in issue they are experiencing at this time. If none of these suggestions resolve the issue, please send me a screenshot of the issue from one of the students. Thank you.
First, ensure you are using Google Chrome as your internet browser.
Second, be sure you are manually typing in my.pltw.org into the browser bar to navigate to the site. If you are using a bookmark, older link, or Google search to navigate to the site, this can take you to either an outdated version of the site that will not allow you to log in or to our Development site that will also not allow you to log in. The student will also need to click on I am a Student to login.
Third, clear Chrome's cache. This can correct many issues if you are experiencing log in troubles. I have provided instructions below on how you can do this.- On your computer, open Chrome.
- At the top right, click More (3 vertical dots icon).
- Click More tools Clear browsing data.
- At the top, choose a time range. Select All Time.
- Next to "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files," check the boxes.
- Click Clear data.
- After clearing cache, try to log in on a new tab.
Fourth, be sure your clock on your computer is set to the correct time. If the time is showing correctly, double check to make sure it is not showing AM when it should be showing PM. An incorrect time on the computer's clock can cause an error where the log in screen appears to refresh instead of logging you into your account.
